Trash Waste Solutions is committed to establishing a sustainable and efficient waste management system in Manado (Indonesia). Our goal is to introduce proven principles from Switzerland – one of the world’s most efficient waste management systems – in adapted structures that are suitable for the local context.
Why waste management?
In many regions of Southeast Asia, large quantities of plastic waste end up in the environment and ultimately in the sea every day. This threatens ecosystems, health, and tourism. At the same time, waste has enormous economic value – especially in plastic recycling.
Our approach

2. Separation of plastic and recyclable materials
– Establishment of local collection points
– Pre-sorting into recyclable plastic fractions

– Identification of potential buyers for recyclable plastics
– Use of the material for new plastic products
– Establishment of an ecological cycle with economic prospects
Our goal
To establish a waste management system that protects the environment, creates local jobs, and enables a functioning circular economy—a model that can later be transferred to other regions of Indonesia.

Trash Waste Solutions setzt sich dafür ein, in Manado (Indonesien) ein nachhaltiges und leistungsfähiges Waste-Management-System aufzubauen. Unser Ziel ist es, bewährte Prinzipien aus der Schweiz – einem der weltweit effizientesten Abfallwirtschaftssysteme – in adaptierten, lokal passenden Strukturen einzuführen.
Warum Waste-Management?
In vielen Regionen Südostasiens gelangen täglich grosse Mengen Kunststoffabfälle unkontrolliert in die Umwelt und letztlich ins Meer. Dies bedroht Ökosysteme, Gesundheit und Tourismus. Gleichzeitig steckt im Abfall ein enormer wirtschaftlicher Wert – insbesondere im Plastikrecycling.
Unser Ansatz

- Saubere Strukturen für Haushalte, Tourismusbetriebe und Communities
2. Separierung von Plastik und Wertstoffen
- Aufbau lokaler Sammelstellen
- Vorsortierung in verwertbare Kunststofffraktionen
- Reduzierung von Deponie- und Meeresabfällen
3. Verkauf an verarbeitende Betriebe
- Identifikation potenzieller Abnehmer für recycelbare Kunststoffe
- Nutzung des Materials für neue Kunststoffprodukte
- Aufbau eines ökologischen Kreislaufs mit wirtschaftlicher Perspektive
Unser Ziel
Ein Waste-Management aufzubauen, das Umwelt schützt, lokale Arbeitsplätze schafft und eine funktionierende Kreislaufwirtschaft ermöglicht – ein Modell, das später auch auf andere Regionen Indonesiens übertragen werden kann.
Mit jeder Tonne Plastik, die nicht im Meer landet, kommen wir unserer Vision einen Schritt näher.
