On April 1, 2026, we took the next step: We started building a local waste management system in Manado.
After initial efforts since 2019 (beach cleanups and recycling experiments), we are now focusing on a practical, scalable solution on the ground.
What is already in place:
- A three-wheel transport vehicle for collection
- A set-up site with roofed working area
- First waste collection points with bins
Our current focus is on PET plastic, which will be collected, cleaned, and brought back into the recycling loop.
We will share the journey step by step – with real insights from the field.
